This afternoon around 3 pm, Kelowna RCMP received a report that an assault had occurred in Kelowna’s City Park near the water park.
A man was subsequently detained by bystanders and is currently receiving medical treatment at Kelowna General Hospital.
In a release from the Kelowna RCMP, they noted “There are no further concerns for public safety and there is no one outstanding.”
At this time the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit has assumed control of the investigation.
