Kelowna car dealership receives provincial recognition

A Kelowna car dealership is receiving recognition for their hard work for the third year in a row.

Kelowna is home to the top Ford dealership in B.C. for retail volume and for customer satisfaction.

In 2017, Orchard Ford achieved sales numbers of 1,055 new vehicles compared to 1, 037 in 2016, the highest retail volume of any of the 50 Ford dealerships in the province.

Trevor Pollon, the general manager, says that the industry is competitive, and because there are many good quality products out there, they focus on creating a good workplace culture and giving back to the community.

“Where you win is looking after your customer better than anyone, and looking after your staff better than anyone,” he says. “Happy staff equals happy customers.”

To keep their staff happy, Pollon says they try to do lots of team building activities, like drive-in movies at the dealership and houseboat trips in the summertime.

In addition to creating a good environment for their employees, Pollon says they try to bring the community together by supporting several local teams and organizations, like Kelowna Santas.

“We like to give back to the community whenever we can as well to say thank you for all the business that they give us,” Pollon says.

Orchard Ford has been recognized not only as the number one dealership in retail volume, but also in customer satisfaction in both their sales department and their parts services department.

Pollon says that both departments are important because while they are busy selling that volume of vehicles, it's easy for things to “fall through the cracks.” Pollon adds that they have managed to get their processes honed in such a way that they can keep their sales volume up and keep their customers happy at the same time.
