A Kelowna family is looking for help from the community after thieves made off with a very sentimental item.
According to Alana Loewen, their family's Jeep was stolen from the underground parking lot at The Point at Quail Ridge. The theft occurred on Friday evening around 11 pm.
The Jeep has a very distinct paint job and is easy to spot. Police have been called and are currently investigating.
Loewen mentioned that the vehicle has sentimental value, which is why they are so concerned to get it back. It was recorded leaving the area while following a blue car.
"It is very sentimental to me as it was my grandfather's and we got it when he passed two years ago," said Loewen.
"It's more than just a vehicle, it was my grandfather's hunting jeep with several custom pieces added. We haven't even lived here three weeks."
Loewen went on to mention that the Jeep was taken by two men and one woman.
Anyone with information is urged to contact RCMP at 250-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
