Kelowna rescue fundraising for dogs in need with a 50/50 draw

If you’ve been itching to play a 50/50 draw, consider supporting one that goes toward a good cause in the community.

Paws it Forward is a dog rescue based in Kelowna. They’re 100% volunteer run, so every dollar raised goes towards helping dogs in need and finding them a furever home.

The organization relies on donations from the public to continue the important work they do.

In 2023 alone, the group saved more than 430 dogs. However, this year they’re stretched thin and are overwhelmed by dogs in need.

The 50/50 draw is a significant annual fundraising effort for Paws it Forward, and gives you the chance to win some money while also giving back.

Last year, the draw topped out at an impressive $55,540, and they’re looking to beat that number this year. And of course, the biggest winners are the dogs!

It’s open to all BC residents, and tickets start at just $10. Purchase tickets online here until Aug. 9, 2024 at 11:59 pm. You must be over the age of 19 to play.

The winner will be drawn on Aug. 10, 2024.
