Kelowna’s annual winter market and light up is set to return to Stuart Park today.
Water Street will be lined with artisan and market vendors, live entertainment, free skating at Stuart Park and free family-friendly activity on Nov. 30 from noon to 6 pm.
The annual downtown Christmas light up will be happening at 5 pm.
Other activities include pictures with Santa from noon to 4:45 pm.
There will also be hot chocolate, available by donation with proceeds benefitting the Central Okanagan Food Bank.
Warm up stations will be set up throughout the event area.
But the fun doesn’t stop on Water Street.
More fun to kick off December
New this year is the Satellite Winter Street Market at Cannery Lane, which will include more vendors and activities to extend the festive fun throughout the downtown core.
If you are looking for additional warm up space, you can stop by at the Festival of Trees at the Delta Grand, which benefits the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
If you are looking to do a bit more Christmas shopping, you can stop by the Craft Culture Holiday Magic Market at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.
This market will feature 60 vendors and runs from 1-7 pm on Nov. 29 and from 10 am to 4 pm on Nov. 30.
If you are feeling crafty, the Kelowna Art Gallery is hosting a lantern-making workshop from 1-5 pm.
With all these festive activities happening throughout the downtown core, there will be a few road closures in effect.
Water Street, between the Doyle and Queensway roundabouts, will be closed from 6am to 8:30pm to accommodate Winter Street Market.
