The Moonlight Movie Tour has been rescheduled for Kelowna and Lake Country after being cancelled last month due to the wildfire situation.
Interior Savings and BGC Okanagan will be hosting a pair of movies next weekend.
While there is no charge to attend the two events, a donation of $3 per person or $10 per family is suggested.
A screening of The Strange World will be shown on Friday, Sept. 22 at Kelowna’s City Park and The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be shown on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Lake Country's Swalwell Park.
Both movies will begin at dusk and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to find a good viewing spot.
“Proceeds from this event will help BGC Okanagan provide safe spaces for children and youth to experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life,” says Richelle Leckey with BGC Okanagan.
A few family-friendly activities will be available and the concession stand will be open at 6 pm.
Everyone is encouraged to bring cash for admission and concession stand treats, as well as their own lawn chairs and blankets.
These two movie events are part of several Moonlight Movie nights that have been hosted across the BC Interior this summer with proceeds going towards youth and mental wellness programs.
