The Okanagan Tattoo Show has announced its triumphant return to the Kelowna Curling Club this summer.
Slated to take over downtown Kelowna from July 19 to 21, the event will bring forth a weekend of live music, craft brew, delicious food and of course, some of the country’s best tattoo artists.
For the 2019 edition of the event, organizers have truly outdone themselves, bringing in nearly 200 artists from across Canada, the United States and even China.
If you’re looking to get some new ink you can look forward to browsing the flash sheets of dozens of artists hailing from Winnipeg to Vancouver, in addition to obtaining some custom work from artists like Ink Master winner Jime Litwalk from Florida, Dust Wu of Hong Kong and Montreal’s Dave Cummings.
Scared of needles? No problem! There is something for everyone, as the festival is fully equipped with a music line up featuring 16 bands.
The Tattoo Show will feature three nights of various rock and roll sub-genres. Friday night is dedicated to all things punk, featuring Bad Cop Bad Cop from California, The Isotopes from Vancouver, Ruiner from Nelson and Kelowna’s own Up Periscope.
Saturday night is stoner rock and will spotlight heavy bands like Black Wizard, The Heavy Eyes, Woodhawk, The High Kicks and Hashteroid.
Sunday is all-encompassing featuring new-wave Kelowna band Proper Man, Okanagan favourites The Carbons, Malibu Knights, The Pistolwhips and The Motorleague.
Finally, if you’ve got a love for craft brews and good food, this will be your haven on July 20 as Beer Fest comes to life.
Over 10 craft breweries, cideries and distillers from across B.C. will be there to offer up something new to you! Highlights include new Kelowna brewery Jackknife, Lighthouse and Torchlight.
Sustenance will be provided by Wicked Peach, Surfside California and more.
Weekend passes are available online now for $85 and day passes for $30. The event is family friendly and youth passes will be available for $15 on the day of, while children under 12 get free admission. Click here to get yours early!
