PHOTOS: Holiday craft madness at Prospera Place

While the Kelowna Rockets were on the road, plenty of action was still taking place at Prospera Place on Saturday as the second day of the Craft Culture Holiday Market occurred.

Thousands of people made their way to the arena throughout the day to browse all of the booths displaying the works of more than 200 artisans and crafters from the region.

Not only was the ice surface of the arena covered with booths, but the hallway of Prospera Place was lined with vendors.

“With so much to see, we recommend setting aside enough time to visit all the vendors,” said organizer Karalyn Lockhart.

Among the booths were items for sale such as specialty foods, clothing, jewellery, art, Christmas decorations and more.

“Over the past decade, Craft Culture has become a beloved holiday tradition in the Central Okanagan,” stated a press release.

“With over 10,000 attendees last year, it is one of the busiest annual events at Prospera Place.”

The craft market began on Friday and will wrap up this evening at 5 pm.

Tickets are $7, children 15 and under get in for free and a full list of vendors and event details is available online at this link.
