When the Northern Lights are on display above Kelowna, we can always count on Roman Bartos to take some incredible photos.
That was the case again Monday night, as aurora borealis above many parts of British Columbia, including right here in the Okanagan.
Bartos, who has provided these incredible shots to KelownaNow multiple times since the start of 2023, was once again out in south Kelowna to capture the magic.

Bartos wasn’t the only person to get a look at aurora borealis on Monday night, as photos surfaced from various parts of Kelowna and beyond.
Former Kelowna city councillor Ryan Donn and others took to Instagram to share photos of the Northern Lights under the Kelowna location tag.
Several people in the Black Mountain Community Facebook group posted photos of the phenomenon as well.
Outside of Kelowna, Leanne Gustavson shared spectacular images that she shot in Armstrong, while others shared photos of BC photo groups from places like the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.
The University of Alaska Fairbanks indicates that auroral activity will be high again this evening, which means there might be another opportunity to witness the Northern Lights for yourself.
For now, check out a few of the photos we found of Monday night’s show:
