RCMP have identified the man who was found dead inside a vehicle on Myra Canyon Forest Service Road on March 22.
In an effort to further their investigation the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit, who continue to work alongside the BC Coroners Service, is publicly identifying the man.
The deceased, 54-year-old Alexander Louis Hegedus of Peachland BC, was the owner-operator of a local business named Canadian Painters.
“The investigation into Alex Hegedus' death is continuing at this time,” states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, He adds that serious crime investigators are awaiting the final results of the post-mortem autopsy, conducted earlier today in the Okanagan.
The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit is now releasing a photograph of Alex Hegedus, in hopes of encouraging potential witnesses to come forward with any contacts they may have experienced or sightings they may have had of Alex Hegedus on Thursday, March 22, 2018, in the Kelowna, West Kelowna and or Peachland areas,” adds Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, spokesman for the Kelowna Regional RCMP.
On that particular day, Alex Hegedus was wearing white painter’s pants and a white t-shirt with his company's logo (photograph attached) on the front left chest area. Mr. Hegedus was believed to be driving his dark grey or charcoal coloured Ford F-150 XLT, full size, 4-door crew cab, 4X4 pickup truck which had a matching canopy.
