UPDATE: Kelowna RCMP says missing man found, 'very appreciative' for public's help

(UPDATE: July 23 @ 1:30 pm) - Matthew Aldridge has been found.

The Kelowna RCMP confirmed that the 34-year-old, who was reported missing on July 17 after last being seen three days earlier, is safe.

“We continue to see members of the public reporting sightings of missing persons and we are very appreciative,” said Cpl. Michael Gauthier.

“These calls assist our investigations tremendously and offer closure to those concerned for their wellbeing.”

(Original story: July 17 @ 3:10 pm) - The RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a missing Kelowna man, last seen earlier this week.

According to the police, Matthew Aldridge, 34, was last seen in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 14.

“Police and family are concerned for Matthew’s wellbeing,” a news release says.

Aldridge is described as:

• Caucasian male

• 6 feet

• 170lbs

• Brown medium length hair and beard

• Blue eyes

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and beige shorts, the news release says.
