Kelowna RCMP recently executed a search warrant on what they call a “problem residence” near Kelowna General Hospital.
Officers entered the property, located in the 400 block of Francis Avenue, on Friday, Jan. 10.
The warrant was related to an active criminal investigation into suspected drug trafficking in Kelowna’s downtown core.
“As a result of information gathered from concerned citizens in the neighbourhood, our officers were able to take action quickly,” said Cst. Solana Paré.
“During their search of the home, police seized quantities of suspected ketamine, cocaine, fentanyl, MDMA and various forms of illegal cannabis.”
In addition, police seized suspected stolen identity documents, numerous boxes of other suspected stolen property and drug paraphernalia commonly used in trafficking operations.
Four individuals were taken into custody and were later released unconditionally, without charge, pending further investigation.
