The second annual Okanagan College Basketball 3-on-3 Hoopfest registration is now open but only until July 16.
If you're itching for the court again this year or looking to take your shot this year, the 3-on-3 Hoopfest competition during the Valley First Downtown Kelowna Block Party is searching for players.
Last year, the event dribbled in a sell-out crowd forcing the hosts to provide more courts, more talent and more prizes this year - including Okanagan College gear to be won.
Running from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 21, the games are featured in the annual Valley First Downtown Kelowna Block Party which gathered over 18,000 people to the downtown core of Kelowna last year.
Dino Gini, President of Kelowna College Basketball Society, is a big supporter of community events like these, with the Okanagan College Coyotes drawing a lot of local support to sustain and build the programs.
“Supporting our community is our top priority because the community has supported us since our program’s inception,” said Gini.
“We love what the Block Party represents and feel it falls directly in line with what we represent as well. To be a part of this event is an honour for us because it is a great way to showcase local talent supporting local business and local economy.”
