Rental apartment proposed for Pandosy properties

The city’s planning department has accepted a rezoning application for a Pandosy property that, if successful, could see a new rental apartment building constructed.

On July 19, Meiklejohn Architects Inc submitted plans that list 445, 453 and 459 Osprey Ave.

They are looking to add on the rental only zone to the existing UC5 – Pandosy Urban Centre zone.

Design plans indicate there would be 44 residential units in a four-storey building.

There would be a mix of bachelor units, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms.

There will be 42 bicycle parking stalls and 60 vehicle parking stalls will be provided.

Two townhouse units would front onto Osprey Avenue.

There is little other information for this proposal because the application is mainly focused on land use.

More detailed renderings are usually provided at the development permit stage.

This application has been circulated around the city’s development and planning department and a council report can be expected in the near future.
