The day has finally come for Revelry Food+Music Hub.
Kelowna’s newest live music venue is set to open just in time for the first long weekend of fall.
Located at 1383 Ellis St., across the street from the Okanagan Regional Library’s downtown branch, Revelry will open its doors to the public on Friday.
While Revelry is expected to fill a major gap when it comes to live music venues in Kelowna, it’s certainly more than that.
The two-storey venue will operate as a cafe during the day, with a complete food menu anchored by signature hand pies and a selection of hot and cold offerings.
But the venue has the potential to turn into a perfect spot to catch a show in the evening, as tables will be moved back and it will feel a little like The Commodore Ballrom in Vancouver.
“In this first phase of opening, our cafe service will feature live music sets throughout each day and into the evening,” noted a release from Revelry. “All live music during cafe hours is presented free of charge to our patrons.”
Cafe hours will begin at 11 am, Monday through Saturday, with varying closing times depending on the evening.
The venue will announce its first round of live shows and ticketing options in the next couple of days.
“We look forward to hosting the community and sharing all that we have been planning for the past few years,” the release added.
Check out the Revelry website, or follow the venue on Facebook or Instagram, to learn a little more about what you can expect when you walk through those front doors for the first time.
