Rock the Lake drops stacked lineup for its return to downtown Kelowna in 2022

Another popular Kelowna event that draws attendees from all across the province will be making its post-pandemic return this summer.

Rock the Lake Music Festival will take over the Prospera Place parking lot from Aug. 5-7 for three days of fun in the sun (we hope) with fantastic tunes and fellow music fans.

“We are overjoyed to be able to bring back the beloved and highly anticipated Rock the Lake Music Festival this summer,” said Graham S. Lee, president and CEO of GSL Group, the company behind the event.

“Each edition of the festival has been special and memorable. We look forward to delivering the same quality of show this upcoming season to a region that has been craving this type of event for months.”

As was the case for the festival’s initial pre-pandemic run from 2016-19, all shows will take place in the west parking lot of Prospera Place in downtown Kelowna.

There will be food trucks on site, plenty of drinks available and a VIP area, while general admission attendees can bring lawn chairs to set up shop for a full afternoon and evening of music each day.

The interior of the arena will also be open for attendees to take a break from the sun and cool off with full facilities, concession stands and a licenced restaurant.

Tickets for Rock the Lake 2022 will go on sale through Select Your Tickets at 10 am on Friday.

More information will be made available about packages and pricing on Thursday.

The festival is partnering with One Tree Planted this year, which means GSL Group will be planting a tree in British Columbia for every ticket sold.

GSL Group also acknowledged the financial support of the Province to help Rock the Lake make a successful return after being cancelled for two years due to COVID-19.
