Several gas stations around Kelowna have run dry on Tuesday.
Petro Canada and Shell stations throughout the city have tapped off their pumps as shortage continues to impact Western Canada.
The Petro-Canada station on the corner of Harvey Ave and Richter Street remains completely out of gas, while the Shell station across the street is selling premium grade for the price of regular grade.
According to employees, the Petro-Canada stations on Leathead Road and Highway 33 have also run dry, as well as the Shell station on Hwy 33.
The Petro-Canada on Lakeshore Road only has premium grade gas and has begun to sell it at the regular grade price.
A gas shortage has been affecting Western Canada for weeks after one of three refineries in Edmonton remained down after scheduled maintenance.
We are experiencing a gasoline shortage in parts of Western Canada. We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers and are working hard to minimize the impact.

"The Okanagan is basically the last area to be affected, there have been sporadic examples but now the situation continues to aggravate because supplies are increasingly limited," explained Dan McTeague of GasBuddy.
"Someone obviously miscalculated, the refinery was supposed to be resolved in two weeks and it's now entering week three, which means we will continue to see rolling blackouts and shortages across central B.C."
