Steve Patterson is best known as the host of the CBC Radio One hit show The Debaters.
Patterson has been a professional headliner since 1997 and taped numerous national television specials in the past decade including four Just For Laughs galas. His performance in 2010 earned him a Gemini nomination and caused host Steve Martin afterwards to exclaim: “If I’d have known he was going to be that good, I would have cancelled him.”
Join everybody at Homecoming weekend for Supper with Steve in the new Commons building for a pre-reception followed by a two-course long-table style dinner by UBC Okanagan’s new Food Services Scholar’s Catering, a very special performance by a true Canadian treasure and a scrumptious dessert reception to cap off Saturday's Homecoming event.
This Steve Patterson comedy special is from 5:30 to 8:30 pm in the newest building on campus, The Commons, Classroom and Galleria.
Register for Supper with Steve as a group or individual/couples – seating is family-style in tables of 4, 6 or 8.
Group seating is available for groups of 6 or more.
To celebrate alumni contributions and school spirit with the community, the City of Kelowna proclaimed September 28 as UBCO Homecoming Day.
Here is a Homecoming message from the Deputy and Vice-Chancellor, Deborah Buszard:
“Homecoming is a wonderful gathering of friends who share special memories and a deep affinity with the warm, welcoming place that is UBC Okanagan.
This weekend is an opportunity to reconnect with the people who made your university experience extraordinary and to see how your university is serving the community and new generations of students.
I urge you to stay connected and to join us on the exciting path we are taking to make an even greater impact in the BC Interior, across Canada and around the world. Now that you’re home, enjoy this special weekend on campus. Tuum est. It’s yours!” - Deborah Buszard, Deputy Vice-Chancellor
