The Okanagan’s 10 most dangerous intersections released by ICBC

ICBC has released its crash data for B.C.’s Southern Interior and it’s clear that Kelowna poses a high risk for motorists.

The top 10 most dangerous intersections in the region are all in Kelowna, where 10 city corners combined for 3,802 crashes between 2013 and 2017.

The corner of Harvey Avenue and Spall Road took the dubious distinction as the area’s most dangerous intersection, where 551 crashes were recorded during the four year period.

Displayed in the graph below are the Kelowna intersections where more than 200 crashes were recorded between 2013 and 2017, with the darker shades of red indicating a higher crash count.

The stretch of traffic lights along Harvey Ave, between Pandosy Street and Spall Rd, posed the highest risk for drivers, making up four of Kelowna’s top 10 dangerous intersections.
