Often, the best place for trick-or-treat fun is wherever you live.
It's a great chance to have some fun and get to your neighbours better.
Not mentioned below are Glenmore and Black Mountain, both great spots for trick-or-treaters.
If you're looking for a place in Kelowna to visit, here are our top three suggestions.
3. Rutland
There are a few particular areas of Rutland that draw crowds.
One of them is Benchview at Dougall.
Some homeowners pull out all the stops with frightening displays to make it fun every year.
Louise Letkeman's house is right at that intersection and has what is probably the most elaborate display you're going to find anywhere.
"It makes everybody happy," she said. "They come by, take pictures."
And they come in droves.
"We have sometimes 200 children," said Letkeman. "We sit outside with a fire going and hand out candies."
2. Kimatouche Rd.
Off Spaarpak Road, this corner of South East Kelowna has a history of spooking it up so it's a popular destination for visitors from other parts of the city.
At its peak, some houses in the area counted 400 trick-or-treaters.
"Lots of candy, lots of kids," said Megan Poole as she placed gravestones in her front yard this afternoon.
Some of the families that had young children in past years have been passing the torch to a new generation here.
"So they're starting to get into the groove of it and they're decorating too, so it's so exciting," said Poole.
1. Kettle Valley
If you're a kid and you want to load up your bag, you can visit a lot of doors within a short distance here and the neighbourhood always seems to embrace the moment.
There are great displays.
If there is a downside, it's the sheer popularity among trick-or-treaters.
"I bought enough candy for 700," said Sarah Matheson, who plans to dress up tonight at her home which is surrounded by elaborately carved pumpkins, gravestones, skeletons and all the rest.
"So it could be anywhere between 300 and 700. That's what we've had in the past."
The kids arrive in bunches.
"Sometimes I go outside because it's just a bit too much for them to come to the door," she explained.
