Andrew Cristall named to CHL's November team of the month

On Thursday, Kelowna Rockets forward Andrew Cristall was named to the CHL's team of the month for November.

The 17-year-old left-winger collected nine goals, 14 assists for 23 points in just nine games throughout November. In an early month battle against Prince George, Cristall posted a career-high five points (all assists) in the 8-6 win.

On the season, the Burnaby native is second in the WHL in scoring, with 43 points, (18 G, 25 A). Riding a 12-game point streak, Cristall was recently upgrade to an 'A' status in NHL Central Scouting's 2023 NHL draft prospect list.

Also named to the team of the month is Connor Bedard, who leads all the CHL in scoring, with 57 points. Throughout the month of November, the North Vancouver native has 11 goals, 17 assists for 28 points in 11 games. After being held scoreless in the team's season opener, Bedard has a point in every game since, as his point streak now stretches to 25 games.

Halifax Mooseheads forward Jordan Dumais sits second in CHL scoring, with 54 points and he was honoured for his November with the final forward spot on the team of the month. A third round selection of the Columbus Blue Jackets in last year's NHL Draft, Dumais has 27 points in 13 games during the month.

On the blue line, Lukas Dragicevic of the Tri-City Americans was the third WHL player on the team of the month. The draft-eligible defenceman contributed 13 assists and five goals in 11 appearances and is riding a 17-game point streak. The Richmond native leads all WHL defenceman in points with 32 (in 23 games).

Also on the back end is Saginaw Spirit's Pavel Mintyukov, who dazzled with six goals and 11 assists in 11 games. The 19-year-old Russian was selected with the 10th pick in last year's draft by the Anaheim Ducks and sits second in OHL scoring on the year, with 35 points.

Between the pipes, Victoriaville Tigres netminder Nathan Darveau was a sparkling 8-1-1-0, with a .953 save percentage and 1.60 goals-against-average. He turned away a career-high 41 shots in a 2-1 road win over Cape Breton to close out November.
