Big medal haul for Kelowna Aquajets in final meet of the season

Sixteen swimmers represented the Kelowna Aquajets at the Mid Summer Madness meet in Victoria over the weekend.

This was the last meet of the season for the Kelowna Aquajets.

Swimming to the podium were Emma Berg with a bronze in 50 back while Jacob Berg swam to a silver in 50 fly. Madi Fourie topped the podium with gold in 200, 400 & 800 free, 200 IM silver in 50 & 100 fly 200 back and bronze in 100 back. Sara Gray swam to silver in 200 & 400 IM and 800 free while Jordan Meyer swim to gold in 400 IM and a silver in 100 breast. Rounding out the podium was Emelia Schwarz with silver in 200 fly and bronze in 800 free.

The girls 12 and under medley relay consisting of Noella Quadri (back), Sara Gray (breast), Jillian Rabinovitch (fly) and Madi Fourie (free) swam to gold and the free relay of Sara Gray, Jillian Rabinovitch, Emma Hawkins and Madi Fourie swam to a silver finish.

100% best times went to Lauren Griffin-Lepine and Maura Guidi and those swimmers just shy of 100% best times were Enrica Guidi, Sarah Moore and Isla O’Connor.

Big time drops were had by Jacob Berg dropping 10 seconds in his 200 free and 31 in 200 back. Madi Fourie taking 12 seconds off her 400 free and 53 in her 800 free while Sara Gray dropped 18 in her 400 free and one minute seven seconds in her 800 free. Laure Griffin-Lepine dropped 10 seconds in her 100 breast with Enrica Guidi taking 11 seconds off in both her 50 free and 200 breast. Maura Guidi shaved time off in almost all her events taking 10 seconds off her 100 fly, 11 in 200 free, 12 in 100 free, 20 in 200 IM and 24 in her 100 breast. Ashley Moore dropped 10 in her 400 free while Sarah Moore took off 11 seconds in both her 200 free and 200 IM. Noella Quadri took off 21 seconds in 100 fly with Jillian Rabinovitch taking 12 off her 200 IM and 17 in 200 breast. Emelia Schwarz dropped 10 in her 100 fly and 14 in her 200 breast.

Other swimmers making it to finals were Emma Hawkins, Ashley Moore, Jared Moore, Sarah Moore, Lauren Griffin-Lepine, Isla O’Connor, Jillian Rabinovitch, Noella Quadri and Enrica Guidi
