First-place finish and records broken for triumphant Kelowna swimmers

Kelowna Aquajets had 115 represent the club at the KAJ’S second home regional meet of the season and the first long course meet.

The club swam to a first-place finish overall out of 15 teams.

New records that were won by Emilie Golinowski broke a club record for the 10 and under girls in 400 IM. Liam Chew in 10 and under boys 100 & 200 breast, 200 fly and 800 free. Aiden Kirk broke three club records that have stood for 23 years, in the 11-12 boys they were 100 fly, 100 back and 200 IM he also set records in the 50 free, fly and back as well as 100 free. Kelsey Fillion set new records in the 100 free for 15-17 girls and the open girls division as well as 50 fly for the 15-17 girls. Paul Neupert set a new record in the 100 fly for the 15-17 boys and the open boys division.

KAJ’s newest Age Group Provincial qualifiers are Avery Deis, Grace Paoletich, Tim Novitski and Kodi Wiman is a newest qualifier for the Canadian Junior Championships.
