After capturing two league titles (2017, 2018) and a provincial championship (2017), the Kelowna Sun Devils have been promoted from the 18U Midget AAA division to the 18U BC College Prep League.
The team has compiled a 65-10 regular season record, over the last two seasons.
With a new head coach in Derek McPherson, who has played and coached at the college level, the Sun Devils are ready to take their game to the next level.
The team will be lead by their team captains Logan Bligh and David Osborn.
Bligh is in third and final season as a Devil, as he graduates this year and is moving on to attend UBCO in the fall, while Osborn will be playing through the 2020 season.
The Sun Devils have been training all through the fall/winter and will be playing an exhibition series March 23-24 against the UBC junior and senior squads of the PBL in Vancouver.
Their regular season starts April 6-7 on the road against the Cloverdale Nationals.
The first home stand is April 20-21 with a 4 game set with the Ridge Meadows Royals.
It's a well rounded squad, with lots of quality pitching and the boys are swinging the bats well.
The Devils have quality senior and junior players and the team's rookies are outstanding.
Even though most of the CPL has well established teams who have had success, the Devils could easily surprise a few people this year.
