Stancl and Rocak get the call from Czechia, Krayer to play in BCHL Top Prospects Game

There was exciting news for hockey fans on both sides of the bridge today.

The Kelowna Rockets announced this morning that forward Jakub Stancl and defenceman Marek Rocak have been named to Czechia’s World Junior camp roster.

Stancl played for Czechia in last year’s tournament and helped the team to a bronze medal finish, and has been impressive to start the 2024-25 season in Kelowna with 32 points in 26 games so far.

Rocak, who has 16 points in 27 games from the Rockets blue line, will be aiming to make his home country’s World Junior roster for the first time.

A short time after the Rockets made the announcement about Stancl and Rocak, the Warriors went public with a positive development of their own.

Dylan Krayer has been invited to participate in the Top Prospects Game at the BCHL’s all-star weekend in Salmon Arm in January.

The 17-year-old has scored nine goals and added five helpers through 27 games in his rookie season and will have a chance to wow NCAA and NHL scouts in attendance.

He also won’t be travelling there alone, as Warriors’ teammate Jackson Kyrkostas will be heading to Salmon Arm as well to play in the all-star game.
