Today was trade deadline day in the BCHL and the West Kelowna Warriors got in on the action.
The club made a trio of deals, sending two players away for future considerations and landing a skilled forward from the QMJHL.
Christophe Farmer is the newest member of the Warriors after he was acquired today from the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL.

The 20-year-old had seven goals and 12 assists in 29 games for the major junior club this season after spending the last four years with the QMJHL’s Chicoutimi Sagueneens.
“Cristophe is a dynamic player who can make plays, score goals and wants to win,” explained Warriors’ coach Simon Ferguson, who expressed excitement about the team’s latest addition.
That excitement is shared by the 5’11”, 170 lbs winger, who said he can’t wait to meet his new teammates and the coaching staff.
“I describe myself as a playmaker with a good hockey IQ,” he said. “I play well on both sides of the puck.”

One person he won’t have to introduce himself to when he arrives in West Kelowna is Felix Trudeau, who Farmer has a long history with.
“We played together when we were young and we kept in contact.,” Farmer noted. “I’m sure our chemistry will come back quickly.”
In addition to bringing Farmer in, the Warriors also dealt forward Carter Schmidt, 17, to the Cranbrook Bucks and forward Jayden Price, 20, to the Amarillo Bulls (NAHL), both for future considerations.
