Sir Paul McCartney will give fans the first taste of his new album on Wednesday, June 20.
The former Beatle will release two new tracks entitled “I Don’t Know” and “Come On to Me”, marking the first new music from McCartney since his 2013 album New.
The two tracks are “polar opposites with 'I Don’t Know' being a plaintive, soul-soothing ballad as only Paul can deliver, and 'Come On To Me' a raucous stomper that fans that first spark of chemistry into a rocking blaze," according to the musician’s website.
The hype machine for the new record began last week when McCartney performed his smallest gig in decades at the Liverpool Philharmonic Pub, where the small crowd was treated to various hits from the rockstar’s extensive catalogue.
After the gig, McCartney's Instagram account was lit up with a string of cryptic posts hinting at his forthcoming new album.
The title and release date for McCartney's new solo album have yet to be announced, though the record is expected to arrive this fall.
