On Saturday afternoon dozens of local women headed to the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club on Graham street to shop till they dropped at the Kelowna Women in Business (KWIB) Pop-Up Shop in support of Mamas for Mamas.
This event allows women who are just getting back into the workforce to get a head start on feeling great by having the opportunity to spruce up their wardrobe all thanks to generous donations from women in our community.
“We just hope that we can spread some wisdom onto the ladies coming back into the workforce for the first time after being full time stay at home moms and give them confidence coming into 2017 with some new wardrobe and the opportunity to meet new people.” said Neel Dhatt of Mamas for Mamas.
Though the pop-up shop was geared towards mothers in need of professional attire, the women behind Mamas for Mamas and KWIB welcomed everyone in with open arms.
From clothing of all sizes and shoes galore to makeup and jewelry, this event was fully equipped and ready to give to some very deserving people in our community.
The event runs until 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 21st, 2017 and if you can’t make don’t worry as KWIB and Mamas for Mamas regularly host shop and swap events.
