On March 2nd, 2017, the Lake Country based Fresh Outlook Foundation will be hosting their Breakfast of Champions event at UBCO.
The Breakfast of Champions (BoC) is designed to get people of all different sectors together to celebrate business success, as well as to spark community conversation for sustainable change.
The Fresh Outlook Foundation hosts a number of events throughout our community, that all aim to invoke the conversation of sustainability as a sub-theme but each event is given a different main idea that it will focus on.
This year's BoC event will focus on the topic of collaboration.
“It’s all about how businesses are collaborating with other businesses and organizations from different sectors to increase their prosperity, doing so in a sustainable way.” said Joanne de Vries, founder of the Fresh Outlook Foundation.
From business owners to students, all are welcome to attend and take part in the tours of the university’s engineering labs, contribute to discussions and listen to the speakers.
This year will host keynote speaker, Mark Jennings-Bates who will share five tips on how to get the most prosperity from the use of collaboration.
All of the speaker's stories will focus on the positives and successes they have had through the use of collaboration, as well as how to avoid sabotaging collaborative opportunities and interacting with new people from all different sectors.
“It’s not only the interaction with the speakers but the interaction with each other,” said de Vries
“Every event we do is designed to optimize conversation between people, so attendees will have a lot of time to not only hear the speakers stories but also make some stories of their own.” added de Vries
Tickets for the event are still available on the Fresh Outlook Foundation’s website.
