Hollywood has the Oscars, musicians have the Grammys, and home builders in the Central Okanagan have a special award ceremony of their very own: The Tommie Awards!
It’s an exciting time of year for members of the Canadian Home Builders Association as preparations for the annual Tommie Awards are in full swing. These awards recognize the very best in the Central Okanagan’s home building industry. Awards are given out in several different categories, such as Excellence in Kitchen Design, Excellence in Creating Affordable Housing, and even Excellence in Marketing.
The Tommie Awards have clearly been a great success in the past, as this will be the 26th year that the CHBA will be putting on the event.
“The success of Tommie Awards could not be achieved without a strong and vibrant industry to support it,” said Kevin Santos, CHBA Board Member and Tommie Awards Chairman.
“It’s success is a testament to the hard work and efforts of the Canadian Home Builders Association, that works tirelessly to promote and showcase world class projects and communities. These have made the Tommie Awards what they are today,” said Santos.
The Tommie Awards kick off this Thursday, November 30th with the Silver Finalists Night, sponsored by the Justin O’Connor Group and Chubb Insurance.
The event, during which the Silver Finalists will be announced, takes place from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Laurel Packinghouse and will be complete with drinks, appetizers and networking opportunities.
The Silver Finalists night is a prequel to the main event, the 2018 Tommie Awards Gold Gala, which take place at the Delta Grand Hotel on January 27th.
