Hwy 97A collision between motorcycle and commercial farm vehicle claims life of woman

One woman is dead after a crash on Hwy 97A.

It happened around 6:20 pm on Tuesday near the intersection of Springbed Road, just north of Enderby.

According to the RCMP, the woman was driving her motorcycle northbound on Hwy 97A when she crossed the centre line.

She collided with a large commercial farm vehicle that was heading southbound.

Unfortunately, the 58-year-old woman sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hwy 97A was closed in both directions for around three hours to allow emergency personnel to safely complete their work.

The fatal collision remains under investigation at this time.
