Two snow bikers were rescued from a remote snowmobiling area in the North Okanagan over the weekend.
The Vernon Search and Rescue team was called out to the LaForge riding area of Hunters Range to rescue the pair who had become stranded.
According to VSAR, the riders had gone down a creek drainage and were unable to get back out.
The terrain in the area was very steep and a bout of bad weather had moved into the area.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported and the pair of snow bikers were only cold and wet when they were found.
The VSAR team thanked the Hunters Range Snowmoible Association for their help tracking down the stranded bikers.
This is the team’s second rescue from the Hunters Range area in about two weeks.
On Jan. 22, the team rescued an injured snowmobiler who was unable to get themselves to safety.
