‘Not a random act’: Okanagan residence shot at in the middle of the night

Mounties in the North Okanagan have already labelled an overnight shooting as targeted.

Police were called to the scene of reported shots in the 4700 block of Pleasant Valley Road around 2:30 am today.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed that multiple shots had been fired at the residence.

“The findings from our initial investigation suggest this was targeted, and not a random act,” said Cst. Chris Terlesky.

Fortunately, Terleski said, no injuries were reported from the shooting.

Investigators continue to probe the overnight shooting and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

That includes people who may have witnessed the shooting or suspicious activity in the area around that time.

Those wanting to speak with investigators about this case can call the North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file 2024-15539.
