This weekend is the third annual screening of the Wild and Scenic Film Festival, an exclusive live-streamed event with proceeds going to support Elevation Outdoors.
Elevation Outdoors is a local organization that offers underprivileged youth the chance to participate in outdoor sports programs in the Okanagan.
The 2022 screening doubles as a fundraiser to help cover the costs of delivering programs and will create scholarship opportunities for youth in the community.
This year's event will be streamed virtually, with films starting at 7 PM Friday night, ticket holders will also be able to access all films on demand for five days after the event.
The festival will showcase 12 different films from Canada, the USA, and around the world as they highlight the power of sport and the conservation of the environment.
To give you a hint as to what will play this year, the audience in 2021 voted for the top three films in the lineup last year; Feel of Vision, Brotherhood of Skiing, and Wild Toddler Chronicles.
Tickets can be purchased online here, and guests are notified that prices are currently in US dollars as the website cannot change to Canadian during this time.
Elevation Outdoors will also be hosting an online silent auction to raise additional funds from Jan. 21 to Jan. 28.
An array of local items, gift cards, and experiences have been donated to help the cause with new items being added daily.
