Slide the City is returning to Canada this summer and the Penticton date has officially been announced.
The organizers of the massive waterslide event received unanimous endorsement from City Council back in February. With only two events planned for B.C., Slide the City Penticton will take place on July 2. The 300 metre vinyl waterslide, which is the length of three football fields, has been massively popular in other Canadian cities including Kamloops.
A single slide will cost a participant $10, a triple slide $25, and an ultimate pass will cost $45, which will give you unlimited runs from 9 am until noon. Passes for the slide are already available online and the slide will be set up along Vancouver Ave. and Cambie St. in Penticton.
Sliders are encouraged to sign up online early as pricing incentives are available. In 2015, Kamloops was the location for the 1,000 foot long slip and slide and more than 3,500 people participated in the event.
