Cram the Cruiser Food Drive takes place Saturday in Penticton

The Penticton RCMP, in conjunction with The Real Canadian Superstore and Salvation Army, are hosting this year’s annual Cram the Cruiser food drive.

On Saturday, Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., officers and community policing volunteers will be on location at the Penticton Real Canadian Superstore, located at 2210 Main St., to collect food donations, said an RCMP news release Wednesday.

“RCMP officer’s and volunteers will be on location collecting as much non-perishable food donations as possible from the public, and piling it all into parked police cruisers, said RCMP media relations co-ordinator Const. James Grandy “All the food donations will be contributed to the Penticton Salvation Army food bank for those in need.”
