The summer months may not be used for student instruction within School District No. 67.
Instead, it’s a time for firming up staff positions for the upcoming school year.
The Board of Education of School District No. 67 Okanagan Skaha has announced its new executive team.
Jason Corday has been appointed Assistant Superintendent, replacing Todd Manuel.
Manuel was previously appointed Superintendent of Schools.
Corday has held the role of Director of Instruction, and moves into his new position Aug. 1. He was previously principal at Summerland Middle School and held several administrative positions in School District No. 22. He has a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Education Degree (Secondary) and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics Degree from the University of British Columbia.
Nicole Bittante has been appointed Secretary-Treasurer/CFO.
Bittante is currently the Secretary-Treasurer/CFO at School District No. 71 Comox Valley. She was previously SecretaryTreasurer for School District No. 83 North Okanagan-Shuswap and Director of Finance for School District No. 63 Saanich. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting from the University of the Caribou, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
The Board of Education has also appointed Allen Beckingham to the role of Director of Instruction.
Beckingham is currently District Principal – District Programs & Curriculum. He was previously the Principal of Indigenous Education, ConnectEd Alternate and Distance Learning programs, West Bench Elementary and has held multiple Vice Principal positions in the District and internationally.
