The Adaptive Amazing Race 2022 is back, here's what you need to know

Are you looking for a fun corporate team-building event this summer?

Good news! The Adaptive Amazing Race is coming back and it will prove to be the perfect team-building event for your corporation!

We invite our corporate partners to come out and celebrate CRIS Adaptive turning 21 by participating in our Third Annual Adaptive Amazing Race fundraiser! The first event will occur on August 23rd from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Polson Park in Vernon.

The second event will occur on August 24th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Mission Creek Park in Kelowna.

The Adaptive Amazing Race mimics the Amazing Race TV show in which teams will race around, completing challenges at various stations. Teams will utilize one piece of our adaptive equipment, an adaptive bike or Trail Rider, as they race against other teams and the clock to complete challenges and win prizes.

Teams must work together at each station as their physical, intellectual and sensory skills are tested.

For example, last year's race stations had teams completing blindfolded mazes or adaptive pool noodle hockey. The team with the combined total of fastest time and highest point count will be crowned this year's Adaptive Amazing Race champion and will win the grand prize!

With this year's event, we are striving to fundraise $10,000, which is used to ensure CRIS Adaptive can continue to operate and break down barriers to allow individuals to get outside and be active.

When partners sign up to participate, we ask that they pledge to donate/fundraise a minimum of $500. Teams are encouraged to pledge to double this amount, setting a goal of raising $1000 or more.

We ask each business to designate one person as their team captain to sign up for the race. This person will be the primary contact for CRIS when it comes to sending event details and information.

Once the 5-6 individuals have been chosen to compete, the team captain can sign up at the “Register Now” section on our event page online.
