Another 2 Prince George residences targeted in the city’s 3rd and 4th shootings this week

Another two shootings took place in Prince George over the past 24 hours, bringing the city’s total to four since the start of the work week.

The first is believed to be another drive-by shooting, which happened around 9 pm on Thursday.

The RCMP rushed to the scene in the 400 block of Quinn Street and found that a home had been shot at “numerous times.”

Fortunately, none of the three occupants inside were injured.

Just a few hours later, at 2 am on Friday, officers were called out again, this time to a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of Vancouver Street.

Investigators located the residence and found that at least one shot had been fired, but once again no one inside the home was hurt.

“At this time, there is no evidence to indicate that these shootings are related to one another or other recent shootings within the city,” said an RCMP release.

Prince George’s first shooting of the week was a drive-by shooting at 3 am on Tuesday that targeted a home on McIntyre Crescent with two adults and three children inside.

The second happened at 2:15 am on Thursday after an altercation between two cyclists and three pedestrians ended in one of the cyclists pulling out a handgun and firing at the pedestrians, striking one of them.

Anyone with information on any of these crimes is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
