Over 1K raised at Cops, Pops and Pizza fundraising event

The PG RCMP and local Special Olympics athletes had a successful night fundraising at the Cops, Pops and Pizza event.

Yesterday evening, members of the PG RCMP accompanied local athlete’s at the Boston Pizza on Spruceland.

During the event, athletes spoke to patrons of the about Special Olympics, what they offer and the sports they compete in.

Altogether, $1,400 was donated to Special Olympics BC from patrons and Boston Pizza.

"The RCMP are always proud and honoured to be recognized by Special Olympics BC to participate in events like this, where through fund raising efforts, we are able to contribute to our local Special Olympic athletes and support them in their endeavours," says Superintendent Warren Brown, Officer in Charge of the Prince George RCMP.
