Things to do this weekend in PG: July 6 - 8

It's been a long four day week.

Celebrate the end of it with these awesome events!

Prince George 21st Annual Pride Parade and Festival

When: Saturday, July 7 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: Community Foundations Park

Bring the whole family down to celebrate a day of pride! Festival is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the parade running from 11 a.m. noon.

Malicious Monster Truck Tour

When: Saturday 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. and Sunday noon - 3:30 p.m.

Where: PGARA Speedway

The Malicious Monster Truck Tour is coming to the PGARA Speedway!

Come down and witness your favourite stars: Willy Crash, Pound Hound, Beastmode, Rock Star and Identity Theft battle it out in a LIVE Monster Truck competition.

  • Gates open at noon
  • Pit Party at noon
  • Show Starts at 1:30 p.m.

Ticket information:

  • Adults (ages 14 and up) $44
  • Kids (ages 2-13) $28.25
  • Children (ages 2 and under) free on parents lap

Taste the Rainbow Drag Show and Dance

When: Saturday 7 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Where: Prince George Civic Centre

Come down for an evening of flirtation and feathers at the Taste the Rainbow Drag Show! Featuring some amazing talent from our city, this show will be full of fun!

Drag show will run from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. with the dance commencing afterwards.

The event is 19 plus.

Hot Dogs to Help Dogs (and Cats Too!)

When: Saturday 11: a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: Great White Toys Comics Games

This Saturday, have a dog to help a dog.

Bring pet food or treats to donate and you’ll be entered into a prize draw, take selfies with the SPCA adopted mascot and enjoy 20% off select animal plush and Paw Patrol merchandise!

Free Yoga in the Park with Chinook Yoga

When: Sunday 10 a.m.- 11 a.m.

Where: Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park

This free event is open to all ages and abilities! Be sure to bring your own mat, a water bottle and a positive attitude!

Donations are welcome and will be donated to the charity choice of each teacher.
