For the second time this year, Crossroad Brewing hosted its downtown street festival in Prince George over the weekend.
This two-tier event, which was part of Downtown Prince George Summerfest, was filled with local food, entertainment and adrenaline.
One of three street parties hosted by Crossroads this year, the theme for Saturday’s event was motorsport, motocross and jet boating.
The event showcased small business, dealers and recreation clubs.
Things started off on Saturday morning with a free outdoor recreation show. Event goers were invited down to check out the lineup of drag and track race vehicles, trail and track motorcycles and jet boats.
Demos and displays were also on hand to keep everyone entertained.
Afterwards, ticket holders headed over to the evening street party where the live entertainment of both the Killbillies and the Statistics kept them rocking all night long.
“This event is focused on activating the downtown. As a small Brewery that is just trying to get going, we wanted to partner with these local businesses and clubs to create a win-win. The goal here is for everyone to be able to promote themselves- together," says Crossroads co-owner Bjorn Butow.
"Our whole objective here is to create something where everyone benefits. If the clubs, Crossroads and downtown can promote themselves and we all do it together, everyone wins. My business partner and I say it’s way more than just having a business, you have to contribute and for us, it’s about contributing to the downtown and getting it going by bringing events back here.”
The next street festival hosted by Crossroads will be an adult-oriented evening celebrating Oktoberfest, feature local craft beer, party games, German street food and live performances by both Redwhyn and The Chevys.
The Powersport, Skiing and Snowboarding festival will be held on September 29. Tickets are selling out fast and are available online now!
