(UPDATE: July 6 @ noon) - A woman was brought into custody over the weekend in connection to the ongoing homicide investigation into a 26-year-old woman's death in Prince George last week.
Investigators interviewed the suspect on Friday and released her pending further investigation and file disclosure to the BC Prosecution Service.
"This investigation remains a priority for the detachment," said an RCMP release.
The stabbing incident happened around 10 pm on Thursday in front of the Prince George courthouse.

(Original story: July 3 @ 10:05 am) - A homicide investigation is underway after a Thursday night stabbing left a 26-year-old woman dead.
Police were called to the 300 block of George Street, in front of the Prince George courthouse, around 10 pm for reports of the stabbing.
Officers arrived on scene and found the woman suffering from at least one stab wound, so they began first aid.
Paramedics arrived on scene a short time later, taking over the first aid efforts while transporting her to hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, she died from her injuries early this morning.
The area near the courthouse was secured as the serious crime unit began their homicide investigation, which is still in the early stages.
Significant resources have been deployed to assist investigators efforts and police are hoping to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
