Half metre by half metre fires will be allowed as well as any portable campfire apparatuses.

Category two and three fires, which are larger than 2000 square metres, along with fireworks and firecrackers will continue to be prohibited.

The Fire Danger Rating ranges from low to high in the region and officials continue to monitor areas with a serious fire risk.

Officials are urging people to remove any flammable debris from around their campfire sites and extinguish campfires with a hand tool or at least eight litres of water.
