5K Foam Fest is back by popular demand for 2016.
The nationwide foam run will kick off in British Columbia at Sun Peaks Resort on June 18 to 19th.
President of 365 Sports, who owns and operates the event, Jesse Fulton, says it was a no brainer to begin the race at the alpine resort.
“It only made sense to return to the area. We love it here, we have family here and you can't beat the view. We are stoked to announce a partnership with Canada’s Alpine Village, Sun Peaks Resort,” said Fulton.
Director of Marketing for Sun Peaks Aidan Kelly says he is looking forward to welcoming participants.
“Adding 5K Foam Fest to our diverse events calendar really helps to showcase Sun Peaks as the second largest ski area in Canada. The stunning mountain playground is complimented by the picturesque alpine village, providing an ideal venue for both participants and guests,” said Kelly.

The Canadian event is unique in that it allows young runners as well. Children eight years and older can sign up to participate and run alongside family and friends. Registration and locations for the 2016 event will be available in the upcoming weeks.
The event will eventually make its way across the country, with 12 additional stops added next year.
