The highway nine kilometres west of Keremeos is closed in both directions because of a rockslide. The slide came down on Highway 3 around 4:00 p.m. according to DriveBC forcing the closure. There is no estimated time of opening as an assessment is in progress. Check DriveBC for the latest updates and information. A second, smaller slide has been reported by TransBC on Highway 5. This slide has forced a lane closure.

Highway 1 remains closed in both directions between Revelstoke and Golden because of a fatal crash between two semi-trucks. RCMP has completed their investigation in the area but vehicle recovery and debris removal is still taking place. Traffic is stopped in both Golden and Revelstoke, but by 5:30 p.m. crews expect to again allow vehicles through the area.

Conditions on both the Coquihalla Highway and Okanagan Connector are slushy and slippery, but more snow is expected to fall overnight on Tuesday.

A travel advisory is in place for Highway 1 from Field to the Alberta border. An early season winter storm has brought heavy snowfall to the area. Mild temperatures are contributing to very slippery driving conditions and motorists are advised to drive with caution and allow for additional time to reach their destination.
