A wedding ceremony with a picturesque background at a cost of zero dollars. If it sounds too good to be true, think again.
Revelestoke Mountain Resort invited engaged or married couples to come up to the mountain on Valentine’s Day for the chance to get married or renew their vows.
A Justice of the Peace was on hand between 11:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m. Sunday to marry couples free of charge (so long as they had their marriage license on hand).
For those already happily married, the resort invited couples to come and share their love in an intimate ceremony on top of the mountain.
The “I do’s” were captured by Revelstoke Mountain Resort staff.
“You may now kiss the bride and then shred some pow as husband and wife,” the mountain wrote on their social media.

Revelstoke wasn’t the only location offering free Valentine’s Day weddings. In Vancouver, Robson Square was offering complimentary elopements thanks to Pop Up Weddings BC.
