A 34-year-old man who escaped from a Saskatoon, Sask. jail in September has been found and arrested by the BC RCMP.
Travis Funk was taken into custody in Merritt by members of the RCMP on Oct. 21, 2016, after nearly a month on the run.
On Sept. 24, police responded to a report that a man had fled from the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre after allegedly climbing over the fence and getting into a vehicle.
Found with him over the weekend was a 24-year-old woman who police allege helped him escape jail.
Both suspects will return to Saskatoon in the next few days to face charges.
As a result of the investigation, two other men, 29 and 35, have also been charged in relation to Funk escaping lawful custody.
