UPDATE: Snowfall warning for the Coquihalla has been lifted

(UPDATE: 11:30 a.m.) - The snowfall warning for the Coquihalla has been lifted.

The warning, which was issued by Environment Canada just before 5 a.m., was lifted around 11 a.m.

While the snowfall warning is no longer in effect, the roads are by no means perfect and drivers should still exercise caution.

Up to date road conditions are available at the DriveBC website.

(Original story: 6:20 a.m.) - A snowfall warning is still in effect for parts of the Coquihalla Highway.

Environment Canada reissued the warning on Monday morning, just before 5 a.m., saying up to 15 centimetres of snow is still expected.

The section of the Highway between Hope to Merritt is most at risk for flurries, which are expected to ease this afternoon. Conditions are currently slippery, with blowing snow.

Drivers should be aware of road conditions and reduced visibility.
