Snowfall warning on Trans-Canada Highway

Up to 25 centimetres of snow is expected to fall on the Trans-Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass on Monday.

Snowfall should start at about noon and will move across the region, according to Environment Canada, which has issued a snowfall warning.

The snow predicted to intensify overnight and will likely persist through Tuesday.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced due to heavy snow and the roadways may be difficult to navigate.

Travellers are urged to check DriveBC before heading out.
